May sees a continuation of very big energy especially with the continuation of Eclipse season. Eclipses tend to bring about lasting changes in our lives especially if they aspect personal planets. This last Lunar Eclipse was in Scorpio at a time where some will suddenly become aware that if you’ve been giving away your power to other ppl (early May) this will come up, great time to look at how you can reclaim your personal power during this time.
Is there anyone you have been trying to overpower as a result if you feeling like you don’t have any power? Notice how you react when you don’t feel like you have any power, do you lash out, do you hide away, do you try to overpower, or do you get resentful when you’re triggered?
Jupiter is bringing a bigger energy to this due to its relationship to Pluto for a lot of May- this additional energy provides a bigger bolder expression to this aspect in relation to power. The lunar eclipse on 5th May brought about a sense of completion or closure energetically.
Notice where in your life you are coming to the end of an old cycle and notice what are you shedding -whether it’s old ways of thinking, emotions, physically, relationships, jobs, moving house or any other cycle that has the potential to see a big change. This signals the time to let go of the old you and who you identified with before so you can make way for your future self and new possibilities.
Mercury, the planet that rules communication, technology, thinking, transport has been in retrograde until 14th May (in Taurus). This time provided an invitation to reflect and be more introspective in our thinking and communication as the external systems of communication. Patience is a great resource to draw upon, especially when we feel tense or triggered, as our connection and messages can get scrambled during this time.
Cultivating an internal sense of steadiness and managing our resources is a wise use of energy right now, as the after-effects of Mercury retrograde integrate for the rest of the month.
Venus and Mars have been in the sign of Cancer, which brings about a reflection on childhood and how you felt supported or lacking in support within the home environment. With the influence of Taurus presently, you now have the opportunity to hold steady in the knowledge that you are supported and held unconditionally no matter what.
The 20th May sees a New black moon in Taurus, which is a supercharged time for setting intentions and focus and allowing new changes and opportunities into your life.
Jupiter is moving into Taurus on 16th May, where it will stay for one year, considering abundance, success, expansion and opportunity. A focus on simplicity & nature here, cultivating food/produce from the earth, can result in the long-term building of stability and increased self-reliance.
This would usually stability, however other planets active during this time (Pluto-Mars) indicate more of a challenge around power structures and finances currently. Look to ways in which your personal power feels steady, and how you can cultivate an internal sense of peace and stability.
Jupiter squares Pluto in second part of May-which is a re-evaluation point from March 2020. This influence if you have been operating from your heart and personal integrity can indicate opportunities waiting to be taken up.
Full moon in Sagittarius on 4th June can reveal areas in which you feel like you have lacked freedom, adventure and spontaneity in life, and also in how you think and communicate (Mercury). It is especially important at this time to be able to express how you feel to others.
Stuck energy here can lead to feeling trapped and wanting to escape and be free. So instead of projecting this lack of freedom onto other people, consider how can you start to liberate yourself a bit more and bring these qualities of Sagittarius to your life?
In early June, around the full moon, you have the stabilising influence of Venus and Saturn working harmoniously together may see an ideal time to commit to relationships, build strong friendships and partnerships that have shared responsibilities.
Food-wise– soups, stews, broths, miso, nourishing warming foods that satisfy and ground your energy
Health-wise-grounding, gardening, taking time to appreciate the simplicity and beauty of nature, deep breathing, acupuncture, yoga and any activities that allow the energy to continue to flow
This time can bring up a sense that regardless of our challenges and circumstances of last month we can still reflect back on what has happened, and there is always the option to remain optimistic (Jupiter) despite any challenges or difficulties which has a flow on ripple effect.
This month sees an integration of lasting changes around personal power, and the opportunity to reflect on the end of a cycle so you can make way for your future self. This can be an ideal time to commit to relationships and partnerships that have shared responsibilities. It is possible to cultivate a sense of stillness, simplicity, and take the time to manage resources and setting intentions- this will allow change to unfold with more flow and less resistance.
